No stranger to wrecking brackets themselves, the Rams seemed to be wholeheartedly rooting for the upset. Junior guard Darius Theus hails from the Norfolk area and outspoken freshman guard Briante Weber boisterously supported many of the Norfolk State players with whom he played AAU basketball. Members of the media were ready to pounce on the fresh comparison between the potential Cinderalla of Norfolk State this year and the magical run of VCU just one year ago. The Spartans of Norfolk State will join VCU in representing the state of Virginia in the round of 32.
