After playing three consecutive away games, the Rams returned home Sunday night and got a 1-0 overtime win against La Salle University. The win marks the Rams’ 8th win of the season, improving their record to 7-7-1 on the season. They sit at 3-3 in the conference.

Although both teams were held scoreless through regulation, there was a fair amount of action. Both teams finished in double digits in shots, but the goalkeepers were able to make some saves. The Rams ended the game just 54 seconds into overtime when freshman Rachel Hardy played a corner kick into the box and fellow freshman Amanda Tredway finished it off with a header.

During the first half, sophomore goalkeeper Audrey Sanderson notched three saves, keeping La Salle scoring. Following suit, freshman goalkeeper Ryan Jones held her own against the Explorers with four saves of her own during the second half.

With the loss, the Explorers fell to 3-8-3, including a 1-2-3 record in conference play.

The Rams return to action when they take on the George Mason Patriots this Thursday at Sportsbackers Stadium. Kickoff will be at 7pm.
